While Nighthawks (RIP) may be out, Morning Grind is in! Join us this Wednesday at Eldora for the first of 3 (or more?!) local races.

• 6:00 AM - Indian Peaks Lodge opens for bib pick-up

• 6:15 AM – warm up laps allowed up Bonanza, down Sunset

• 7:00 AM – race start near bottom of Trick Ditch halfpipe

BOULDER YOUTH SKIMO UPDATE

We’re now in Week 6 of the newly launched Boulder Youth Skimo program, practicing twice weekly Tuesday & Thursday 4-5:30pm at Eldora through a partnership with EMSC.

We’re stoked to see how quickly these kids are learning and we’re fired up for the future of the program. Kids are the future! Check out the progression on our weekly Insta Reels.

Look out for some of the kids racing Morning Grind and the Colorado Skimo Cup at Winter Park.

COLORADO SKIMO CUP #2 - GRANBY RANCH

Is there a better way to stay warm while skiing than skimo racing?

We didn’t think so, so during the cold snap of a few weekends ago we headed to stop #2 of the Colorado Skimo Cup at Granby Ranch.

It proved to be a super fun event at a new skimo venue. It was a fun 1000m+ course on powdery tacky singletrack in & out of the groomers: easy enough for novices, exciting enough for experienced to pin it for an hour on the rivet (proof!).

These races constantly remind us of our mantra “Skimo: easy to learn, hard to master.” So hard to put together the perfect race!

Shoutout to Rocky Mountain Skimo for taking it upon himself to continue the legacy of Pete Swenson and Joe Risi by putting on a phenomenal skimo race circuit across Colorado and beyond.
