Welcome back, or welcome to, the Boulder Skimo Club — there’s many new faces on here!

Our mission is to get more people ski touring, skimo racing, and making the most of the winter in Boulder with human-powered ski adventures. 

Temperatures are dropping and the snow has already fallen on the Divide: ski season is around the corner!

With the first A-Basin Rise & Shine less than a month away (November 7), it’s time to start thinking about skiing, and we’re stoked to slowly unveil our 2023-2024 Club Programming, kicking off with our 4-Week Pre-Season Training this Thursday evening open to all members.

Thanks to all individuals and organizations who have supported this grassroots effort to build community around a pretty exclusive sport. See you on the snow soon!

A 4-weeks coached group training & skills sessions on trails specifically tailored to get us ready for the upcoming skimo season.

WHEN: Weekly on Thursday, October 12 through Thursday, November 2 (5:30-7pm)
WHERE: Various locations around Boulder (sign up for weekly details)
WHAT: bring running/hiking gear, poles, headlamp
COST: free for Boulder Skimo Club members (or $10 non-member drop-in. Try a session for FREE!)

Join the first of its kind Boulder Skimo Race Team — capped at 10 racers!

Th Race Team is aimed at developing race skills, building fitness, train with others, and foster the local growth of skimo racing.

Early-Season Race Team members get FREE 6-Weeks Early-Season Training (on-snow) programming included in their membership.

Stephanie Vu is an associate attorney with Sheridan Ross P.C. - an Intellectual Property boutique law firm - and specializes in patent law. She is relatively new to skimo and has developed a love for dawn patrol at Arapahoe Basin and long ski tours on the weekend over the past few years. She has goals of completing the Power of Four and the Grand Traverse over the next few years.

Contrary to popular belief, Spring (not winter) is every backcountry skier’s favorite season.

The safer snowpack and bluebird days make spring mountaineering objectives safer. Get it just right, and you’ll be rewarded with dreamy ski lines on a blank empty canvas of corn snow, often in just a tee shirt, under a beautiful warm blue sky.
