NOVEMBER 29 NEWS

WEEK 3 EARLY-SEASON TRAINING RECAP
10 inches of fresh tracks. 200 kickturns.

Week 3 of the 6-Week Early-Season Training last week saw a small but mighty crew due to Thanksgiving, but damn it was a good ski weekend with over 10 inches of powder, marking the first real ski around Boulder.

It’s hard to get a technical training course to practice real ski mountaineering skills, so we tried to make it as technically challenging as conditions allow for. There’s no growth without discomfort! ;)

It was cool to see everyone’s progression after a couple laps through in the powdery skintrack, and what seemed like a couple hundreds kickturns for everyone.

Read below for this coming Week 4 Early-Season Training on-site at Wolf Creek, the first event of both the Colorado Cup and the National Cup.

WEEK 4 EARLY-SEASON TRAINING
This weekend at Wolf Creek!

This Friday through Sunday, Boulder Skimo is headed to Wolf Creek for El Lobo Loco, the first stop of both the Colorado Cup and the National Cup.

Find us at the La Sportiva booth Friday through Sunday for pre-race shakeouts, swag, a chat, or to demo the latest LaSpo skis and boots.

Weather depending, Week 4 of Early-Season Training will be Sunday morning ($25 drop in, free for Race Team).

The vibes at Wolf Creek are all-time, and we’ll make good use of the free lift pass included in the race registration to practice the most technical aspects of the course together without the race pressure.
